Existing Problems and Countermeasures in Statistical Work in Colleges and Universities in Minority Areas

There are some problems in statistical work in collgegs and universities in minority areas: leaders don't attach much importance to the statistical work and the scope is narrowed with backward service methods; the information quality is poor; the construction of the staff is lagging. The corresponding countermeasures are roughly as follows: with the guidance of Deng Xiao-ping's theory, people should constantly emancipate mind, seek truth from facts, keep up with times, renew educational idea and broaden service orientation; strengthen modernized innovation in statistical methods and improve statistical quality with fast and accurate standard; improve the qualities of statistical staff; speed up the tempo of scientific research innovation; meet the demands of educational reform and development in colleges and universities, and face the challenges in international competition.
