中等城市公示语翻译规范化策略研究——以衡阳市为例

通过对中等城市的代表——衡阳市的公示语翻译现状的调查,发现中等城市的公示语误译现象非常严重,造成误译的不仅仅有普遍性的原因,也有地方特殊性原因。要规范中等城市的公示语翻译,应从以下几个方面着手：借用已有通则,保证公示语翻译的统一性;遵循翻译原则,确保公示语翻译的正确性;政府适当干预,宣传公示语翻译的重要性;整顿翻译市场,力求公示语翻译的规范性。

On Normalization Strategies of Translating Public Signs in Middle-sized Cities of China

After making an investigation of public signs of Hengyang City,one representative of middle-sized cities of China,we found that mistranslation of public signs in middle-sized cities is serious.Some general and special reasons brought about the mistranslations.In order to normalize the translation of public signs,we should adopt some measures.We＇d better have the loan of relevant general rules of Beijing City and get the unitarity of public signs translation.We＇d better keep to the translation principles and hold the correctness of the English version.The government should do somethings to propagandize the importance of public signs translation.The market order of translation should be rectified,otherwise it is difficult to get the normalization of public signs translation.
