高积善在近代吉林传教活动探察

The Analysis of James Greig's Missionary Activity in Modern Jilin

Under the background of foreign powers' further invasion,James Greig,a British missionary of Presbyterian church,who had done missionary work in the region of modem JiLin for several decades.He was rejected by Chinese native intensively during this period.In order to alleviate people's resistance and develop missionary work smoothly,he took many measures to assist his missionary action,such as establishing church hospital and training medical personal.These actions in- treducod Christianity to JiLin successfully and brought western medical knowledge and technology,and promoted the develop- ment of western medicine in this region to some extent.
