| Abstract: | Based on the case study of the Central Square in Shunde city in the Pearl River Delta, this paper questions the method of square design with hard paved ground and grass. The author then presents a new design method,which is characterized by the planting of big trees in and around the square.It is believed that such a design is suitable for sub tropical area environment. |
