| Abstract: | In the light of the imperfection of the graphic database technique
available, the general architecture of an object oriented graphic database and its realizing
method are developed based on the application of electric power engineering drawings. A
vectorized method is used and the data volume is small with less redundancy while the
maintenance cost is low and the querying and processing ability of the system are improved.
Some new concepts of the object oriented database are given and a hierarchical managing
idea is presented. This is a new attempt at the handling of the engineering drawings in the
electric power system. |
