汉译英中的话题-主语处理问题

英汉两种语言在句子结构方面有很大的差异。汉语是话题突出语言（topicprominentlanguage），句子的基本结构是话题＋说明，而英语是主语突出的语言（subjectprominentlanguage），句子结构是主语＋谓语，主语在句中处于不可或缺的地位，要求意足形完。本文通过翻译实践，讨论了汉英翻译时根据句子话题来确定英语主语的理论及操作策略，并以此实现有效再现原文语句的交际价值。

On Dealing with the Subject of English Sentences in Chinese-English Translation

Chinese and English differs in sentence structure. Chinese, a topic prominent language, comprises sentences of topic and comment, while English, a subject prominent language, sentences basically made up of subject and predicate, with the subject playing prominent roles. English sentences make clear meanings with complete forms. Through translation practices, this paper discusses the theory and the ways on how to determine the subjects of English sentences in the Chinese-English keeps the communicative value of translation by determining the topics of the original sentences, so that the translation the original.
