| Abstract: | The transformation of modern philosophy of science from last century's logical empiricism to contemporary naturalism and practical philosophy is the process in which the presupposition of logical empiricism was transcended. In this process, Toulmin's work ahead of the mainstream of philosophy of science occupied an important place in forerunning the course and the basis of the transformation. |
