| 摘 要： | 介绍了纤维增强复合材料在北美、欧洲及日本等地的工程应用情况．为便于深入了解，首先回顾有关复合材料的基本特性．详细给出复合材料结构件及其在桥梁、建筑、基础设施、管道、桩柱、桅杆、海洋结构等方面的应用，并指出为什么这些应用中会采用复合材料以及工程结构采用复合材料的利弊得失．

| Abstract: | The paper introduces the fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composites applications in engineering in North America, Europe and Japan. First, some material properties related to composites are given in order to understand the paper better. Details are given about composite structural members and their applications in bridges, buildings, infrastructures, pipes, poles, masts, marine structures, et al. It is also indicated why composite was selected in these applications and what the advantages and disadvantages are of using composite in engineering structures. |
