As a pivot of Jiangxi poetry school,Chen Shidao(Houshan) contributes to its theoretical development with both his style theory and methodology.Going after Du Fu,in his poetry he strives for accuracy in meaning and exquisiteness in form by trimming his language to the extent of no redundancy,applying the old language forms in a new fashion,and conveying his ideas implicitly in an effort to establish a unique style which surpasses the average.The style theory and methodology of Chen Shidao are the abundant and development of poetics of Jiangxi poetry school.
