英语委婉语的模糊性及模糊美之我见

委婉含蓄是不同民族的语言共性，也是中外传统美学的第一要义。本文从模糊的角度，以语言学和语用学的有关理论为指导，分析了英语委婉语的模糊性特征及其模糊美，以便学习者正确的认识、使用和欣赏委婉语，并促进正常的言语交际和日益扩大的文化交流。

My Understanding of Fuzziness and Aesthetic Perception of English Euphemism

Indirection and implication, also two of the most important aspects involved in the traditional aesthetics of China as well as in the one of foreign countries , are the same language features shared by different nationalities .From the viewpoint of fuzziness, directed by some related theories of Linguistics and Pragmatics, this paper analyses the fuzziness and aesthetic perception of English euphemism for the purpose of understanding, employing and appreciating euphemism appropriately, of advancing the normal language communication and the ever-developing cross-cultural communication for the learners .
