| Abstract: | Fifty-one cases of injuries of head and spinal cord were treated by electro-acupuncture.Theywere all in-patients,arnong them,15 were intracranial hematoma,6 brain-stem injury,9 contusion and iaceration of brain,11 cranial nerve injury,and 10 spinal cord injury.Acu-points were chosen according to the main symptom,i.e. Shuigou and Baihui for coma,Linanquan and Yamen for aphasia and dysphagia,Jianyu and Quchi for hemiparalysis,Gover-nor Vessel points and Ciliao for paraplegia and urinary & fecal incontinence,Jingming andQiuhou for visual distuthance.The points were acupunctured with reinforang and reducingmanipulations.Then electro-stimulation was added.The results were as following:18 casescured,11 markedly effective,19 improved and 3 failed. |
