| Abstract: | This paper reviews briefly Chinese abacus' position in history of Chinese mathematics,two different attitudes in evaluation of Chinese abacus,and Prof.Wu Wen-tsun's guiding suggestion for its development.Under the great efforts of researchers from the circles of Chinese abacus and history of mathematics,inspiring result obtained:in June 2008,Chinese abacus has been included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China. |
