| 摘 要： | 许慎和他的《说文解字》，在中国学术史及文字学史上有着崇高的学术地位，其学术价值可归纳为六个方面。《说文解字》对文字的材料分析解说存在着一些误差，字形源流判断不够准确。当代学者既不能过于苛求《说文解字》的不足，也不可一味曲意加以维护，而是应该占有更为丰富的资料，充分运用科学的研究方法和手段，去弘扬发展由许慎《说文解字》所奠定和开创的文字学事业。
