| Abstract: | Summary Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from variousRhodopseudomonas andRhodospirillum species were tested for their radioprotective efficiency against X-irradiation and for their influence on the growth of spleen colony forming units (CFU-s) in mice. The LPS fromRhodopseudomonas gelatinosa Dr2 gave a high survival rate. It also favoured CFU-s formation and erythroid differentiation. |
