随着全球化、信息化的飞速发展,国家间的科技交流日益频繁,翻译人员的术语能力逐渐成为大家越来越关注的问题。文章就科技术语翻译人员应具备的术语能力问题进行简要探讨,提出科技翻译人员应该具备扎实的翻译理论基础,拥有良好的外语和专业水平,熟练掌握术语查询的基本方法以及较强的术语规范意识。

On Term Applied Ability for Scientific Translators

With the rapid development of globalization and information technology, science and technology exchanges between countries have become increasingly frequent, and terminological translation has gradually become a concern. Based on discussing the capabilities of term translators, we propose scientific translators should have a solid theoretical foundation for the translation, have a good command of solid foundation of translation theory, have good foreign language and professional skills, be proficiency in the basic methods of terminology, and have a strong sense of terminology standards.
