中间型任务教学法在英语阅读教学中的运用

Task-based Middle Ground Instruction to Achieve Extensive Reading Goals

After the analysis of the implementation of two extreme pedagogies： structure -oriented tasks and communication -driven tasks, Peter Skehan argues a middle ground instruction which stresses both the naturalness and form to maximize probabilities. Because of the shortcomings of Willis pattern in the implementation of tasks, Peter Skehan proposes an ＂information - processing＂. What the middle ground instruction stresses is coinciding with the goals of the Syllabus and reading instruction. The application of the middle ground instruction to extensive reading will produce good compound effects.
