外语学习者的歧义容忍度和焦虑感研究

摘    要:通过量表的形式对城乡不同英语学习者的歧义容忍度和焦虑进行了调查分析,探讨歧义容忍度和焦虑的关系,结果发现:学生在外语学习过程中歧义容忍度有显著的城乡差异,来自城市的学生比来自乡村的学生歧义容忍度偏低;不同歧义容忍度和焦虑感学生的英语学习成绩有显著差异,总体而言,高焦虑感和低歧义容忍度的学生英语学习成绩低于高歧义容忍度和低焦虑感的学生;歧义容忍度和焦虑感强相关。

On Tolerance of Ambiguity and Anxiety in English Language Learners

Abstract:This article surveys and analyzes the tolerance of ambiguity and anxiety in English language learners from cities and countryside in order to explore the relationship between tolerance and anxiety.The results show that firstly there are significant differences between students from cities and those from the countryside in their tolerance of ambiguity and the former has relatively lower tolerance than the latter.Secondly students with different tolerance of ambiguity and anxiety will have quite different performance in their English learning and generally speaking,the students with high anxiety and low tolerance of ambiguity are inferior to those with high tolerance of ambiguity and low anxiety in terms of English learning performance.Finally there is a strong relationship between tolerance of ambiguity and anxiety.
