摘    要:为了更好地满足应用的服务质量需求,应建立一种结构良好的服务质量管理框架,以便进行服务质量协商和资源管理.根据服务质量的结构、目标以及Agent的特性,提出了一种基于Agent的服务质量管理框架.首先,介绍了框架的构成,给出了服务质量的定义和各层参数的映射机制.其次,介绍了框架的核心部分“基于Agent的服务质量管理站”,说明了站中各种静态、移动Agent的作用和相互关系.最后,给出了基于Agent端到端的服务质量协商过程。

Abstract:In order to meet the needs of quality of service(QoS) requirement of user application, a well-structured QoS management framework should be built, so as to manage QoS negotiation and different resources. According to properties of software agent, architecture and goal of QoS, an agent based QoS management framework is proposed and discussed. Firstly, the architecture of QoS management framework is presented in a layered style. Definition of QoS and mapping mechanism of different level QoS parameters are given. Therein, QoS parameters of user request are converted into the ones of system and network by QoS mapping layer. As the basis of the framework, agent based QoS management layer provides some core services, such as admission control, negotiation, resource reservation and scheduling, etc. This layer is implemented as agent based QoS management station and deployed in relative application nodes. And then, the paper presents core module of the framework, i.e. QoS management station, and introduces the roles the static and mobile agents play and their relationships. Local information and resources are managed by static agents which are QoS adapting agents, local negotiation agents and resource management agents. The tasks of mobile agents are QoS negotiation and re-negotiation with nearby nodes, monitoring the performance of the negotiation results, collecting status and routing information of nearby nodes. Mobile agents include remote negotiation agents and QoS monitoring agents. At last, an agent based end-to-end negotiation process is given and discussed in detail. If the available resources are not satisfied for the user requirement, and degradation is not allowed, then service is denied. If degradation is allowed, renegotiations are performed to meet users' needs. In order to finish end-to-end control, especially negotiation, mobile agents transfer among different QoS management stations.
