Abstract:
The authors have made measurements of flame temperature and absorption coefficient withtwo-colour method and written a computer program for the calculation of combustion process inthe cylindrical oil-burnt furnace , which is made by the combination of TEFESS , which is used tosolve the problem of two dimensional elliptic flow, with heat flux methed which is used tocalculate the rediation heat transfer , discreted droplet model used to simulate the liquid fuel sprayand eddy-break-up model used to imitate the rate of combustion reaction. The calculation resultsfor the furnace, with the absorption coefficient from the two-colour method measurement, agreewith the results from the measurernent roughly.
