| 摘 要： | 喻体与喻义在英汉文化中有完全一致的时候，这是因为任何两个社会都有文化重叠之处，加之人类理性思维的共性。喻体和喻义在这两种文化中有完全不一致的时候，这是由于各个社会又都有其文化个性。本文试图通过实例，对比分析动物喻体、喻义在英汉两种文化中的异同。

| Abstract: | Denerality of human rational thinking, as well as cultural overlaps, accounts for the similarity of vehicle and its figurative sense in both English and Chinese. Cultural individuality of each axiety, on the other hand, accounts for the difference of vehicle and its figurative sense in the two languages. The present paper at tempts to, through exarnples, make a compara tive stdy of similarity and difference of animal vehicle and its figurative sense in both cultures. |
