运用正态性检验法对大学英语测试进行评估

一份英语试卷是否合理、科学 ,一个重要指标就是用其测试学生的考试分数在统计学上要服从正态分布。这样 ,它才具备科学的效度、信度、区分度及难易度。本文采用数理统计正态性检验法对两份不同的英语试卷考分进行了正态性检验 ,结果表明 :试卷Ⅰ考分的分布服从正态分布 ,说明其命题难易适当、较为客观、合理 ;试卷Ⅱ考分的分布呈负偏态、尖峭峰 ,说明其命题较容易 ,且不合理。从而为今后英语教学与测试的改进提供了有力的参考依据。

Application of normal testing method to evaluate English examinations

A reasonable and appropriate examination paper depends on whether the students' marks can conform to the normal distribution in mathematical statistics and it should have four qualities_validity, reliability, discrimination and value of difficulty. By applying normal testing methods to two different examination papers in this essay, the author obtains the following results: Paper One tallies with normal distribution, indicating that the paper is more reasonable and objective; Paper Two is in the shape of negative skewness and lepmokurtic distribution, showing that the paper is easier than the required and less reasonable. This method thereby provides a convincing basis for the improvement on our future English teaching.
