| Abstract: | The results of SEM on all the nasopharyngeal mucosa in rats from different months old showed the regular distribution and the transition with each other of the three kinds of nasopharyngeal epithelia which in both sides of the middlle line were symmetrical and characterized by the distinct morphology. The transitional epithelium was consisted of the cells with microvilli.These features were suitable for the physiological functions of nasopharynx.The results would be helpful for further studying on nasophryngeal carcinoma. |
