| Abstract: | Drawing upon the achievements of the pragmatic studies, this article proposes that it' s the translator's assessment and understanding of his own and the target readership's cognitive and cultural environments, as well as the differences between the source and target languages that decides the specific strategies for translation equivalence. Therefore we should pay more attention on cultural and pragmatic consciousness . |
