土木工程行业缩略语的演进和语言经济学原则

文章以经过缩略法构词的土木工程行业术语为研究对象。首先对土木工程行业缩略语进行分类,归纳其主要的三种构词方法:缩合法、统括法、英文首字母法;其次从交流的简洁性、工人文化程度、技术和管理的革新及行业发展政策四个方面分析了土木工程行业缩略语产生的原因;再次从制度语言学视角探讨其演化路径及语域传播;最后采用社会信息学中的通信系统模型阐释了土木工程行业缩略语如何体现语言经济学原则。

Evolution of Abbreviations in Civil Engineering and Principles of Linguistic Economics

This paper takes the civil engineering industry terms which are formed by abbreviation as the research object. We classified the abbreviations of civil engineering industry as three main word-formation methods: contraction method, omnibus method, and English initial word method. We also analyzed the causes of the civil engineering industry acronyms from the following four aspects: extent of simplicity, workers’ educational level, innovation of technology and management, and policy of industrial development. Furthermore, we discussed the evolution path of civil engineering industry acronyms from the perspective of system linguistics, and explained how civil engineering industry acronyms embodying the language of economics principle from the perspective of communication system model in social informatics.
