大中学生英语阅读的元认知意识的比较研究

摘    要:本文采用了Carrell设计的在第二语言阅读中的元认知意识问卷 ,并结合自己的调查研究 ,探讨了大中学生的元认知意识与其英语阅读理解水平之间的关系。研究结果表明 ,对元认知策略的良好意识是优秀阅读者的特征 ,所以作者指出 ,在阅读活动中 ,探索并利用优秀阅读者的认知规律 ,评估学生的元认知策略意识 ,在不同的教学阶段 ,采用符合个体认知特点的阅读策略对学生进行元认知训练 ,将是提高学生的语言学习水平 ,提高英语阅读教学水平的根本措施。

Abstract:By issuing questionnaires on metacognitive awareness in the second language reading,the authors do a research on the relationship between the metacognitive awareness and the English reading comprehension level of the students in middle schools and universities.The findings show that the good metacognitive strategy awareness is characteristic of the excellent learners.The paper points out that it is essential to improve both the language level of the students and the teaching standard of English reading by exploring and utilizing the cognitive pattern of excellent students,evaluating the students'metacognitive strategy awareness and training them by means of various reading strategies which are fit for individual cognitive feature at different stages of teaching.
