| Abstract: | The recovery technique of methanol from mother liquor produced in glycine production was effectively improved by the application of continuous steam distillation combined with a high efficiency packing tower. The purity of the recovered methanol increased to 99.8% and the recovery came up to 98%. The production cost has been reduced greatly. The benefit will amount to 9×10 5 Yuan per year in application of this technique to a amino acetic acid plant of 1000t/year. |
