| Abstract: | As a lexical-grammatical unit, prefabricated chunk is the smallest unit and the subject of language usage and communication. Based on Nattinger ＆ DeCanico＇s lexical phrase, this paper elaborates the definition and categories of prefabricated chunk, then analyses its functions and forms in the writing of college English students, finally suggests teaching strategies to apply prefabricated chunks. |
