摘    要:用3态Potts模型研究液晶薄相变,对给定的L层薄膜,每层的相变温度都由自由能最小决定,自由能采用变分累积展开方法计算,在此基础上进一步计算了热容,计算结果与实验(样品为54COOBC液晶薄膜)基本符合。

Abstract:With the aid of the three-level Potts model, the phase transition in free-standing liquid crystal film are described. In a film of L molecular layers, the transition temperature for individual layers is determined separatelyby the bifurcation point of the free energy, and free energy are calculated with the variational cumulant expansion (VCE), from which the specific heat is also calculated. The calculated heat capacity qualitatively reproduces the observed anomaly around transition temperatures in experiments on free-standing 54COOBC films of two are more molecular layes.$$$$
