批判性是马克思实践唯物主义的本质诉求。人的实践活动是辩证的，而以辩证法为精神实质的马克思哲学必然具有批判性的品质，这就是马克思哲学所实现的革命性变革的意义之所在。马克思哲学在现时代仍然具有强烈的回应时代的能力。马克思哲学对“现代性”进行批判的目的决不在于挽救“现代性”，而是在实践的基础上历史地扬弃和超越“现代性”。
