谈汉语歇后语的英译策略

歇后语是群众中广为流传的一种特殊语言形式,具有生动形象、诙谐幽默等特点。在文学作品中,歇后语运用得当,可以为作品增色不少。但由于汉语和英语是两门完全不同的语言体系,体现的是两种完全不同的文化。所以汉语中大量的歇后语,在翻译成英文时,有些可以直译,有些则很难直译。因此,在汉语歇后语的英译问题上,译者应特别注意选取恰当的翻译方法。
