| 摘 要： | 当代杰出的美国黑人女作家托尼·莫里森擅长将非洲传统文化融入小说的创作,揭示现代的主题。其第二部小说《秀拉》中水的意象和象征贯穿全文,非裔美国黑人的文化传统有着水一般的内涵,神秘而独特;水映照小说人物的复杂的意识和心理;而美国黑人的生命和抗争精神更是如水般息息不止。

| Abstract: | Toni Morrison,the leading contemporary American black writer specializes in blending the traditional African culture into her novels to reveal modern themes.Sula,the second novel,is another masterpiece of her.Images and symbols of water can be found throughout the novel.Water has its special and mysterious connotation in African-American tradition;water reflects the complex consciousness and psychology of characters in the novel;and the African-American spirit of life and struggle is running forward as water. |
