Correlation between radio emission and host galaxy magnitude for BL Lacertae objects

52 BL Lacs are collected, and the radio luminosity of BL Lacs (including the core, extended and total luminosity) and the absolute magnitude of host galaxies are calculated. The results of the correlations between luminosities and absolute magnitude show that their correlation coefficients are 0.008<|r|<0.154. When the radio spectral index is considered, the correlation coefficients are 0.014<|r|<0.722 in different range of the radio spectral index. The intrinsic luminosity Lcin and Ltin are calculated using the derived lower limit for theγ-ray Doppler factor (ΔT = 6 h), and find their correlation coefficients of relations between intrinsic luminosities and the absolute magnitude of host galaxies are 0.093 and?0.341.
