ZL108合金淬火敏感性的研究

Quench Sensitivity ofZL108 Alloy
Abstract:The quench sensitivity of ZL108 casting alloy is studied by theresearch of the effect of quench rate on the combination of strength and ductility properties. The favorite quench condition is preliminarily established. The experimental results show that the yield stress ( offset=0.2% )σ0.2 is a logarithmic function of the quench rate, i.e. σ0.2=48.99log(δ′)+226.6 (MPa). As the quench rate increases from 0.7℃/s to 33.7℃/s, the tensile strength(σb), elongation(δ5) and fracture energy (E) increase as well, but as the quench rate further increases to 63.5℃/s, a significant fall of σb,δ5 and E is observed. It is found that the combination of strength and ductility of ZL108 alloy will be better when quenched into water with 60℃ ,i.e. when the quench rate is 33.7℃/s.
