Summary The soft tissues of the gastropod molluscPeristernia nassatula contain large amounts (30–60  g/g) of octopamine, which, in all probability, is concentrated in the hypobranchial gland. Smaller amounts of the amine are present also in the soft tissues of the gastropodsBulla adamsi andLatirus polygonatus.This work was supported by grants from the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Roma. |
