Probe into Children's Reading Promotion in Public Library

Children is an important object of public library services, cultivating children's reading ability is public library's mission and responsibility, and doing well children's reading promotion is very important. This paper probes into the necessity for the public library to carry out the children's reading promotion, analyzes the children's reading status in China and its forming reasons, finds out some problems existing in children's reading promotion of the public library, and puts forward some countermeasures for doing well the children's reading promotion.
