Review on Extraction Technology of Polysaccharide from Astragalus Licentianus

Abstract:Astragalus licentianus is a valuable Chinese medicine plant, which contains saponin, polysaccharide(APS), proteins and other active substances. Among these compounds, APS with important medicinal functions was the most widely used. Currently, several methods have been used in extracting APS during industrial production. But the efficiency of these methods was varied. The currently methods used in APS extraction are reviewed, the extraction efficiency and advantage are compared, and the high efficiency APS extraction method is elucidated. Which can give some references in improving APS extraction efficiency and broad application in industrial production.
