| Abstract: | This paper is a summary about the feature extraction and selection, the traditional methods, together with its researching situation, of the pattern clas- sification and recognition. The development of the parallel processing methods on the pattern recognition is also reviewed,and a new trend on pattern recognition, i.e., the comprehensive research in multi-information source, multimedia, and in- tellectualized strategy,is prospective. |
