Establishing a System of Learner Autonomy in the Teaching of British and American Literature

Abstract]Establishing a system of learner autonomy in the teaching of British and American literature is of great significance. This system focuses on three aspects, including learning environment, teachers and students. It endeavors to improve teachers＇ consciousness and ability in guidance in autonomous learning, provide favorable teaching environment and suitable literature resources, establish an autonomous learning center, and cultivate students＇ consciousness and ability in autonomous learning.
