On Li He's Abnormal Psychology and Poetic Creation

Li He is a poet full of creation. In his short life he opens up a new world for poetic creation. He abode humbly in the gloomy and cold ghost world built by himself. He described ghosts and monsters, talked about tombs and graves, meanwhile he fancied the holiness and purity of fairyland. He singed his own praises in his status of the grandson of the emperor and actively taught official positions and riches, but did not have a smooth official career all his life. Unable to unbosom the suppressed sexual desire, he could only express it through love words. The root of his abnormal psychology lies in his oedipus complex, numerous ups and downs of his official career and the gradual, corrupting influence of ChuTao culture.
