中国与世界贸易组织：入世带给我们什么

1986年7月10日，中国提出了恢复关贸总协定缔约方地位的申请，从此开始了长达10年的复关谈判。1995年1月1日世界贸易组织（WTO）正式,代了关贸总协定（GATT），从1995年11开始，中国由复关谈判转为入世谈判，目前，中国已在几个关键环节上取得重要突破，谈判正步入尾声阶段，入世对中国意味着“利”与“弊”同在，利主要体现在成为世界贸易组织成员后所享有的权利，而弊则表现在开放我国市场后对诸多产业带来的竞争压力以及履行世贸组织相应义务时的承诺压力，若从战略和长远的角度进行分析，入世对中国来说无疑是一次大机会，因此，我们应该以最积极的姿态做好入世准备。

China and WTO: How Would WTO Affect China

On July 10,1986,China applied for the recovery of its signatory status to GATT,thus starting the related negotiations for the subsequent 10 years.Jan.1,1995 witnessed the founding of WTO,which replaced GATT,and the negotiations were re\|adjusted toward enabling China to enter WTO.Now,quite a few important breakthroughs on some key issues have been made,and the talks are approaching their epilogue.For China,WTO means the co\|existence of both benefit and loss,with the former embodied in the rights and interest enjoyed by the membership country,and the latter in the competitive pressures on China's own industries once it opens its market to the outside,and in the pressure from its promise to perform the corresponding duties.Viewed from long\|term strategic perspective,entering WTO is without doubt a favorable moment,therefore we should adopt the most positive attitude to prepare for WTO.
