PRELIMINARY STUDY OF A NEW POLYMER SCINTILLATOR |

| Abstract: | To our best knowledge, polymer scintillator has not been reported in scientific publications up to the present. Determinations of the fluorescence spectrum, transparency, detection efficiency, and decay time of polyethylene-2, 6-naphthalate films and /or laminates have been accomplished by the present authors. Evidence available indicates that polyethy-lene-2, 6-naphthalate can be employed as a new polymer scintillator. |
