| Abstract: | Spinoniphona Hua subgen. nov. On each side near the anterior margin of prothorax bears a broadly spineform tubercle. On the disc of pronotum with two longitudinal ridges. Type species: Niphona longzhouensis Hua sp. nov. This new subgenus is easily distinguished from subgen. Niphona Mulsant s.s. and subgen. Hammatoniphona Pic by on each side near the anterior margin of prothorax bears a spineform tubercle. Niphona(Spinoniphona) longzhouensis Hua sp. nov. (fig. 1) This new species is similar to N, rondoni Breuning, but differs from the later by on each side near the anterior margin of prothorax bears a broadly spineform tubercle. Holotype male, Guangxi: Longzhou, 1982-5-20, Zhou Zhihong. Type specimen is kept in the Research Institute of Entomology, Zhongshan University. |
