Abstract:Corrosion resistance of Fe3Al-based alloys is studied in FeCl3 sloution and natural seawa-ter.The results show that the corrosion resistance of Fe3Al-based alloys is improved greatly by additionof Cr in the FeCl3 solution,and the pitting corrosion resistance is improved significantly when Ce isadded.The corrosion resistance of Fe3Al-based alloys becomes much higher if specimen oxide film treat-ment is used.A short-term test in seawater indicates that the corrosion resistance of Fe3Al-based alloyscan match with the 31 6L stainless steel.
