融锥型保偏光纤耦合器快轴传输特性仿真

利用光波导的弱耦合理论,对融锥型保偏光纤耦合器在快轴工作模式上的传输特性进行了研究.仿真分析表明,融锥型保偏光纤耦合器工作在快轴模式上时具有损耗低,温度稳定性好的特点.对采用相同工艺制作的保偏耦合器进行了对比实验,测试数据显示,当偏振光波沿光纤快轴注入时,耦合器的附加损耗比沿慢轴注入时降低一半,全温分光比稳定性提高了一倍.因此,在融锥型保偏光纤耦合器应用过程中,合理利用快轴对准的优势,可以获得更加优良的光路性能.

Simulation on Fast-Axis Transmitting Characteristics of Fused Polarization Maintaining Optical Fiber Couplers
