《老人与海》与《鲁滨逊漂流记》之比较分析

海名威的小说《老人与海》与丹尼尔·笛福的小说《鲁滨逊漂流记》有诸多相似之处:故事发生的自然背景都是茫茫大海,体现的都是主人公勇敢顽强地与困难作斗争。然而两者在主题深化方面是有区别的:前者歌颂了老渔夫奋力拼搏的"硬汉"精神和英雄气概。后者除了体现鲁滨逊不屈不挠的奋斗精神外,还体现了资本主义那种获取、操纵和支配外在世界的价值观。

The Comparison and Analysis of The Old Man and the Sea and Robinson Crusoe

Hemingway's novel The Old Man and the Sea and Daniel Defoe's novel Robinson Crusoe have a lot of similarity. The two stories all happened on infinite sea and embodied how the leading characters strived to overcome difficulties bravely. However,the two novels are different in deepening the theme. The former sang highly of the old man's dauntless spirit and heroic mettle. The latter reflected the capitalism value of acquiring,manipulating and controling the outside world except Robinson's indomitable spirit of struggle.
