后殖民批评话语与异文化表述--谈中国译者从事汉籍英译的资格

后殖民批评试图超越“西方作为主体,东方作为他者”的思雏框架,期望摆脱“西方影响和决定东方”的单向的东西文化交流模式。由此观照中国译者在汉籍英译中的异文化表述,剖析其可行性,进而佐证中国译者从事汉籍英译的资格,以利于中国译者弘扬中国文化。

Post-colonial Criticism and Heterogeneous Cultural Expressions:--On the Qualification for Translating Chinese Classics into English by Native Chinese Translators

Post-colonial criticism attempts to transcend the knowledge framework of the post-colonial theory that "the West is the principle and the East is the other",and to break away from the unilateral mode of "Influence-Reception". In light of the attempt, this paper aims at analyzing the feasibilities of retaining the heterogeneity of Chinese culture in translating Chinese classics into English by native Chinese translators. Furthermore,it points out their qualification for such translation in order to make it clear the need for more native Chinese translators to undertake the translation of Chinese classics into English.
