Extradosed Cable-stayed Bridge Design and Static Calculations

Extradosed cable-stayed bridge are hybrid structures, whose mechanic characteristic lies between continuous beam bridge and cable-stayed bridges. In recent years, extradosed cable-stayed bridges have rapidly developed in the foreign and domestic because of its economy and beauty. In this paper, an analysis of Yu Dao River Bridge which is a extradosed cable-stayed bridge is carried out, using MIDAS established finite element model of the bridge and conducted cable force optimization and static calculations.
