无线地下传感器网络节点放置算法

为解决在土壤环境中传感器信号的衰减作用影响传感器网络性能的问题,对地下土壤环境中电磁波的衰减情况进行分析并建模,提出一种新的用于地下传感器网络的、基于网格模型的三维节点放置算法MCC3D(Max Coverage Connectivity 3 Dimension)。简要讨论了天气和季节变化对土壤中信号衰减情况的影响以及可行的解决措施。该算法使用尽可能少的传感器达到预定的覆盖率要求,并同时保持最优的网络连接性能。仿真结果证明,该算法可达到预定目的。与随机节点放置算法相比,其覆盖性能和连接性能均大大提高,在满足预定覆盖率门限的要求下,使用的传感器数目可减少约33%。同时,网络连接性能明显优于随机节点放置算

Sensor Deployment Algorithm for Wireless Underground Sensor Network

WUSN(Wireless Underground Sensor Network) can be used in many applications,such as soil maintenance and underground construction protection.To deal with the great attenuation effect to electromagnetic wave caused by soil,the attenuation effect in soil is analyzed and the attenuation factor model of the soil is set up.A novel 3-dimension grid model based sensor placement algorithm,MCC3D(Max Coverage Connectivity 3 Dimension) applied in WUSN,is proposed.This algorithm aims at using minimum sensors to reach the demanded coverage threshold while keep the optimal connectivity performance.The simulation results prove that MCC3D outperforms much better in coverage and connectivity performances than random placement.Under the same limitation of coverage threshold,MCC3D uses 33% less sensors than random placement algorithm,and it outperforms random placement algorithm on network connectivity property a lot.Finally,the effect to signal attenuation caused by the variations of season and weather is briefly described and accordingly solution is proposed.
