摘    要:以大网LAN流量在统计上是自相似的,通常使用的流量模型都不能俘获这一分形(fractal)特性,这类特性对于基于信元的高速网络的设计、控制和分析都具有重要的意义。

Abstract:The Ethernet LAN traffic is statistically self-similar, none of the commonly used traffic medels is able to capture this fractal behavior, and such behavior has important implications for the design, control, and analysis of highspeed, cell-based networks.
