| Abstract: | This paper makes comparison of the features of the traditional drilling-blasting method and the TBM in the tunnel construction, points out that the TBM will be the developing direction of the construction of the long tunnels, and introduces the present application of the TBM tunneling technique, and looks to its future development. |
